Celebrating 75 years of professional concerts, the McGill Chamber bathroom suites Orchestra is one

Montreal, November 11, 2014 - Under the direction of Boris Brott, the McGill Chamber Orchestra (CMO) will begin its 2014-2015 season on November 25th at 19:30 with the harpsichords. Presented at Bourgie Hall as part of the Montreal Bach Festival, this concert is a unique opportunity to see and hear four harpsichord together on one stage. On this occasion, the best harpsichord of Montreal will join the CMO: Luc Beauséjour, Mark Edwards, Hank Knox and Rona Nadler. On the program: three concertos for two harpsichords, two concertos for three harpsichords and the concerto for four harpsichords made by the Baroque master Johann Sebastian Bach. THE SOLOIST Luc Beauséjour The harpsichordist, organist and artistic director of Harpsichord in concert, Luc Beauséjour arouses public enthusiasm and critical acclaim with the virtuosity and expressiveness of his playing. He has received several awards during his career. He played in France, the United States, Austria, Germany, Hungary, Belgium bathroom suites and Bermuda. Luc Beauséjour bathroom suites has recorded more than twenty albums and collaborated with many prominent musicians. He won a Félix in 2001 for Album of the Year - Classical / Soloist and Small Ensemble for his famous opus works for harpsichord.
Harpsichordist bathroom suites and organist Mark Edwards presented recitals in many festivals. In 2012, he won first prize at the International Harpsichord Competition Musica Antiqua Bruges. Passagi, his first record with flutist Vincent Lauzer, is named ADISQ this year. He recently finished recording his first solo album, Orpheus Descending. Winner of numerous awards, he studied at the Eastman School of Music at McGill University and at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg. He is pursuing a doctorate at the University of Leiden and the Orpheus Institute in Ghent.
Known for his kinetic benefits and colorful, Hank Knox occurs in concert halls, churches, museums, galleries and private residences around the world. Founding member of the Arion Baroque Orchestra, he toured Europe, Japan and North and South America. He has played and recorded with Tafelmusik, Les Violons du Roy and the Montreal Symphony Orchestra. His most recent recording, a recital of Bach, was published in September 2013. Hank Knox teaches at McGill University where he is the head of the McGill Baroque Orchestra.
Rona Nadler is active on the Montreal music scene as harpsichordist, pianist and singer. bathroom suites She has performed with various ensembles including Les Voix Baroque and La Rose des Vents. She is a founding member of the One Voice equall Musick together. Formed in interpretation of early music, she regularly works as a rehearsal of Baroque opera at McGill University where she teaches bass, and keyboard harmony.
