All work has been examined by a committee of 26 experts, to ensure that the highest standards across disciplines, and some of the biggest names in art, of Albrecht Duerer and Nicholas Hilliard to Pablo Picasso and Joan Miro visible.
Painting by pop artist Roy Lichtenstein, who has not been seen in public for more than 30 years, and owned a huge pearl Mary Tudor has been unveiled as the Masterpiece London art fair highlights.
The artwork, "Portrait Puzzle," was created by Lichtenstein (1923-1997) in 1978, before being sold directly to its current owner, who was kept out of the public eye for decades.
The super-sized pearl, which weighs 64.5 carats (258.12 grains), once belonged to Mary I of England (1516-1558). The monarch dressed in a painted many portraits, now in the Prado in Madrid and the National Portrait Gallery in London.
