Aarhus Centre in Vlora bashkëpuninim with OSCE, and under an agreement with the private company financing Starcraft, November 14 organized a round table to discuss the problem of waste management in the city of Gjirokastra.
These meetings were attended by representatives of municipalities Gjirokastra, Përmet 1stdibs Tepelenë Memaliaj representatives of the Regional Environmental Agency and Gjirokastra Prefecture representatives and representatives from local NGOs and the Environmental and caring environment. 1stdibs
The focus of the meeting was to discuss the national plan for the management of Urban Waste streams and the role of local government in this context, and finding 1stdibs efficient ways for the final settlement of the issue of waste in these regions.
It was also considered very important role to play major public awareness ndërgjegjësimimi Institutions and Decision - making for coordination and cooperation with each other and with the central authorities for the construction of a proper landfill for urban waste
Local institu elected by citizens to improve services provided to the community should find the necessary compromises to give the definitive solution for the issue of Waste in most cases in our cities continues uninterrupted burning of waste causes many diseases respiratory and other cancerous diseases.
At this meeting the parties involved agreed to increase bahshkëpunimi between local institutions to accelerate 1stdibs finding a suitable place and start negotiations with the central government to give Priorities landfill construction.
It also stressed the importance of the cooperation between local actors and civil society through roundtables periodically in order to increase public awareness of citizens about environmental maintenance.
